Overview of the Fine Arts course
Start of course: Summer and Autumn
Duration: 12 trimesters (4 years)
The basic phase of the course lasts four trimesters and serves mainly to introduce students to the practical and theoretical principles of artistic work. The students acquire the principles of the drawing, graphic reproduction and painting or plastic arts. This takes place on two levels, namely by means of object-related artwork exercises and the implementation of the students’ own creative approaches.
Additionally, an introduction is given to the principles of concept development of the concept and design.
Qualification: Intermediate certificate.
The main phase
comprises six trimesters. By electing their specialist field and developing their own concepts and forms of representation, students are given the opportunity to try and test the definition of their individual position. In this context project work may also be conducted outside the Fachhochschule.
The final phase
In the two trimesters of the final phase of their studies, the students conceive and implement their final work which, on completion is presented to the public.

Tuition fees and bus/train tickets are charged on a trimester basis, and may be paid at monthly intervals. (1 trimester = 4 months, the time required to complete the course is 12 trimesters)
